Why Give Our Money to God Through the Church?

How can we possibly give to Almighty God who owns everything and who is infinitely rich? Does God need anything? 

God who is in heaven doesn’t need anything, of course. But His church here on earth needs money to preach the gospel. Your weekly gifts are so important as they go to furthering God’s kingdom and supporting the ministry of Revelation Church.

We give because of our love and our obedience to Him. This enables us to receive fully His mighty blessings. We are taught throughout the scriptures to give and when we are obedient to God, we enable Him to bless us in everything:

Praise the LORD! How blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who greatly delights in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. -Ps. 112:1-3 NAS

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich. – 2 Cor. 8:9 NAS

“Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” -Lk. 6:38 NAS

Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. 7 Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; 9 as it is written, “He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness abides forever.” 10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; 11 you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. -2 Cor. 9:6-12 NAS
